I enthusiastically support funding of the project titled “Well Drilling and Rehabilitation in Response to Drought in Tranquillo Pines” submitted by the Tranquillo Pines Mutual Domestic Water Consumers Association (TPMDWCA) to the WaterSMART Drought Response Program, Funding Opportunity Number R26AS00016.
Due to the severe drought conditions in our area, TPMDWCA must meet the needs of families in our community with increased well production. By having a new well and rehabilitating a second well, the community will have more reliable water sources. This project will have these additional benefits: (1) the wells may produce water with a lower fluoride content which will aid with regulation compliance and give us peace of mind that our drinking water is safe and (2) we will not have to rely on water-hauling to meet our supply needs which has caused additional water bill assessments impacting our pocketbooks.
It is very important to our community that this project is funded.
